Four 10Ah batteries give the Z6 enough power to mow 2 acres, with room for two more batteries to extend mowing time even more. What's unique is that you can use these EGO Power+ batteries to power the other EGO Power+ products you have in your garage. Conversely, if you already have batteries, you can use them to supplement the Z6’s power (though you need a combination of at least 15Ah to get the Z6 to start, 30Ah for optimum performance).

The Z6 comes with a wall-mounted fast charger that plugs into the mower and can charge the four included batteries to full from zero in two hours. If you have a portable battery charger, you can also use that to charge the individual batteries.

You can also connect to the Z6 via Bluetooth and use the EGO Power+ app to tweak settings like reverse indicator and daytime running light options. The app can also serve as a backup key (in case you lose the physical keys) and will let you apply firmware updates as they come available.

There are 32 high-intensity LEDs on all sides of the mower, bright enough to easily mow at night, with daytime running lights and flashing backup lights so that it’s easy to tell at a glance if the Z6 is on.

The Z6 is very quiet. You can hear the whir of the blades, but the motor is virtually silent, with just a faint whine. You can easily hold a conversation with someone while on the Z6.

Driver comfort and convenience has also been well thought of on the Z6. To the driver's left, there's a lidded cubby that has a convenient USB charging port as well as a large cup holder with a handle cutout. To the right, there's a spring-loaded phone holder.

The Z6 is IPX4 weather resistant, so you don’t have to worry about getting caught out in the rain. It also comes with an integrated deck wash port and hose attachment so that you can keep your cutting deck clean.

With a wide 42" cutting path, you can cut more in less time and with less back and forth travel across your grass. The end result is that it'll stress your lawn less and leave it healthier. Mulching plugs are availible so you can leave smaller clippings on the lawn for quick and easy fertilization (there’s an optional rear bagging unit coming soon as well).

The side lever offers 10 different deck height options between 1.5 and 4.5 inches. The deck also has integrated anti-scalp wheels so that you won’t dig into the turf.
